MSNBC Wants Keith Olbermann Mea Culpa

So I guess it is ok for Keith to bash right wingers for the ratings but for him to practice his free speech by making contributions to those he believes in is not ok for MSNBC. MSNBC is supposed to be the alternative to FOX but they now want to hide the fact that their commentators support Democrats. Hypocrites.... If FOX suspended the commentators on their channel who contributed to GOP causes, they wouldn't have anyone on the air. And shame on Rachel Maddow for her remarks. Call Bloomberg Keith - between you and Charlie Rose you should put a dent in MSNBC's rating....

The Dems had the chance.

Well the DEMS had the chance to make the changes they wanted to do when they campaigned in 2008 but failed. They had the power to pass legislation that would have benefited all Americans, but failed. They were afraid to confront the Republicans when there was no reason to be afraid because again, they had the power. Instead of having the guts the get things done they were dropping back and punting instead of going for the win. And why? Because they were afraid of alienating the right wing and the independents, and afraid of losing the power. Well guess what? You lost the power because you were afraid.

All the progressives (yours included), blue dogs and liberals had to realize they were on the same team and not fight each other and self destruct. It seemed like a sense of loyalty left the room and was replaced by jealousy and power grabs. Well your bit of the power was being in power and having the chance of getting things done. Heck the one thing that you got accomplished; health care reform; no matter if it was flawed was something to rally around and you all ran like chickens without heads. You all gave up on the people who gave you the chance to do some good, and you let us down.

On the other hand the Republicans (the party in the minority) acted like they owned the Dems even while the Dems held the majority. This is a party that stuck behind one of the worst presidents in American history and you, the Dems, still didn't realize who you were dealing with. Maybe it is time to take a lesson from them in regards to loyalty. Luckily they didn't gain the majority in both houses because the remaining Democrats would be given shovels to dig their graves. Now the only thing that we all can hope for is that both parties have learned that neither have a mandate - and by working together they might get something done.

Peggy Noonan: Sarah Palin A 'Nincompoop' For Reagan Reduction

Fantastic commentary Peggy Noonan. Although I am not a fan of RR of SP your points are well taken on on the button. RR did earn his bones in the political world, and that of course started a the head of the Actor's union. The most important statement is that he fullfilled his obligations as a governor before persuing the Presidency. SP is a failure as a mayor of a rinky dinky town, a failure as a governor (a quitter), a failure as a VP candidate; or should I say that was John McCain's failure. As a publicity hound - well she has that down and is now trying to teach her daughter the same. I do wish her much success as a Twitter - 140 characters or less seems to be her intelligence limit, and that's giving her too much credit.
