After Reprieve During Hurricane Sandy, Candidates Resume Attacks

I still to this late day in the election see any evidence of passion in Mitt Romney's actions or desire to become the President of the United States. I still believe it is a rich man's last thing on earth of substance that he can try to buy. He has nothing in common with the "common man" nor has he every lived the life of a common man. Just wants to place another line on his privileged resume. He tells us about all the solutions he has but keeps them a secret; similar to what another rich man told us; Ross Perot; he was going to payoff the deficit back then and we were to believe him because he said so. Same with Romney.... Let's just believe him cause he told us so. Like everything else, sports, politics, business, if you don't have heart you are just going thru the motions.... Romney's motions are so stiff he looks petrified at times... I want a passionate man to lead this country; one that cares for all the people and not just a selective few.... And that man is NOT Mitt Romney....

100% or 47% - which percentage would you want to be??

One candidate is for all the people.  Health care for all, affordable college education, a liveable wage for all to live, a working class and not a working poor....  wants to represent 100% of the people...equal pay and equal rights for women ....   good primary education for all children...  a working class that will again be the back bone of the country...

One candidate wants to represent approximately 53% of the people; the other 47% will get caught in some sort of net;  of those fortunate 53% the top 1% will get all the attention.... Tax breaks for the rich  and no breaks for the poor... Women as 2nd class citizens with not rights...  and he says he represents all the people...  That's right all the people he wants to represent...

I always thought the 100% was way better then 47%.....

Man of HIS people

If Mitt wins I hope you are not part of the 47% of the throw away people - but afterall he is a man of the people.....The Super Rich People that is....

'Today' Executive Producer Jim Bell: Matt Lauer Shouldn't Get 'Blame' For Ann Curry Ouster

 http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/390940_349018071839466_643258797_n.jpg

Matt should face reality and stop thinking he is a crackerjack reporter by asking fluff questions. He was at one time the pretty boy news reader who only got promoted because Byant Gumbel left, and Gumbel became successful outside of the Today show. Maybe it is time for Matt to go and fade away like Katie Curic into the Today show abyss..... Your not a pretty boy anymore and your not Bryant Gumbel either.....

Reince Priebus: Harry Reid Is A 'Dirty Liar' (VIDEO)

Who is this Reince Priebus and where did he come from? His name alone reeks of the upper 1%. Listen someone may be lying and someone may be hiding the truth, but the only way to reconcile this issue is to have Mr. Mitt release his tax returns. Or maybe the Congress could hold a special investigative panel and subpoena John McCain to tell what he saw in those tax returns. Just may be the reason he did not pick Mr.Mitt and went with the simpleton Palin. If Mr.Mitt can't even release his multi-million dollar tax returns (an everyday guy right) how can the American people; 99% not multi-millioniares trust this man.

Joe Walsh Accuses Tammy Duckworth, Double Amputee, Of Not Being A 'True Hero'

Mr. Walsh you are in political terms a true "SCUMBAG". You use the word "our" heroes; but what you mean is heroes that only you or some of your other conservative friends deem heroes. I could not even blame your statements on the GOP because I truly believe even members of the GOP know who is and who isn't a hero. And for those you are catering to by demeaning this heroic woman Ms. Duckworth; well sir do you really want them in a foxhole with you. Your adviser's must be idiots and are giving you the wrong advice if they feel that bad mouthing a true war hero in Ms. Duckworth would gain you integrity. If that is the case then you can join your other party member from Georgia who demonize another Vietnam war hero and yes he won by doing so; you two can become the President and Vice President of the cowardly SCUMBAG club. You should be ashamed of yourself to use John McCain's name in any of your talks. What you should do - is acknowledge Ms. Duckworth's war record and being a hero. No wonder loyal and courageous men and women in the armed forces don't trust politicians - well SCUMBAG politicians like you. To me anyone who has spent time in that God awful area of Iraq or Afghanistan is a war hero. And as a political race is concerned - get by it and onto the issues; don't make Ms. Duckworth's war record the issue.

Wolf Blitzer To Donald Trump: 'You're Beginning To Sound A Little Ridiculous' (VIDEO)

What makes this blowhard bully; orange faced idiot; habitual bankruptcy filer think that he is always right? Apparently due to some of his business failures (always seems to insulate his personal life) he is wrong plenty of times. When backed into a corner his debating style is to insult. He is a child who only knows how to call people names when he is being debated with the facts.... In this case telling Wolf Blizter that if he was a better reporter (even though he was presenting facts) his rating would go up.... calling George Will (not one of my favs) is a overrated journalist... telling Robert DeNiro and Bill Cosby were wrong to challenge Mr. Clown Face Trump. Mitt Romney would be better regarded if he distanced himself from this bad hairdo; but then maybe Mr. Grump would really tell the truth as to how Bain Capital really works. Keep him off the news reports - stop watching his stupid "Your Fired" show; which is full of has been celebrities; because without the free publicity he will falter.... But if you need a clown for your child's birthday party - please do call Mr. Trump.

Alan Simpson Slams Fellow Republicans For Unwillingness To Compromise

Whether you agree with former Sen. Simpson's political beliefs or not; you would have to agree that he comes from an era when men stood for something and not behind something or someone. There were times when he and Ted Kennedy, Orin Hatch, Paul Wellstone and Pete Domenici all worked together on some legislation because it was good for the country. Sure Simpson has said some things in the past that have irritated liberals and moderates; but you knew he was trying to be fair and never closed his mind to compromise. That is what the Senate was intended for.... Compromise.... Get things done for the better of the people. Today more politicians need to stand for something and not behind their rich - fat cat benefactors. Maybe it is better to lose an election instead of losing your integrity. The people of this country have to make that decision when they vote - the only special interest of any politician should be the people who voted them in - not the purse. We are electing men and women to represent our interests; not racehorses....

Bank locally - save community banks and credit unions

http://www.bizjournals.com/philadelphia/blog/jeff-blumenthal/2012/05/another-bank-paying-millions-to-settle.html?ana=handmark

Here is another reason to bank locally with your community bank or credit union.  Although politicians may feel these mega banks are too big to fail; apparently they are not too big to charge fees thru the nose.  If people don't start abandoning these mega banks and support local (like any other business) then we all will be a the whim of 4-5 huge financial institutions.  Who is going to stop them when they form a cartel an control all fees and charges?  Think about it...

Yolanda Quesada Fired From Wells Fargo For Shoplifting 40 Years Ago

It is amazing that Wells Fargo will fire this woman for a crime committed 40 years ago when she was 18. Shoplifting as a teenager.... Wow. In the mean time the top honchos of this Mega bank have been ripping off the consumers for years... Causing a mortgage crisis and housing crisis.... Now charging senior citizens with bogus fees that were not charged to them when they banked with the prior bank Wells Fargo gobbled up. The following people with their huge salaries should be ashamed of themselves...How do they sleep at night?

Richard M. Kovacevich, Chairman $22.9million

John G. Stumpf, Pres & CEO $12million

Howard I. Atkins, SEVP & CFO $5.1Million

David A. Hoyt, SEVP & Wholesale Banking $6.4million

Mark C. Oman,SEVP & Consumer Finance $6.4million

Carrie L. Tolstedt, SEVP & Community Banking $4million

Total compensation = $56.8million...... Wonder how much Yolanda Quesada will be set back once she hits the unemployment line.....

Bank Of America Names Global Ad Agency In Aim To Revamp Its Reputation

This is a perfect reason why people should be patronizing their local neighborhood banks and credit unions; that is if they are still around. B of A's mea culpa is too late. They along with the other larger banks (there is only one larger then them) are the cause for the mortgage and housing mess that this country is in today. As the upper management of these super banks reap or rather rape millions for themselves; how could they ever identify with the working class people. Again the power of the people lies in their consumer power. If we all refuse to bank with these super banks - maybe then they will identify...

Rush Limbaugh On Hilary Rosen's Ann Romney Comments: Democrats Launched 'War On Motherhood' (AUDIO)

Why do these super rich 1%'s always want to say they identify with the working class or the working poor. Mitt Romney probably has never been in a supermarket or pumped gas in his privileged life unless it was for a campaign photo shoot. And albeit that Mrs. Romney worked hard as a mother - and being a full time mother is a hard job, but you mean to tell me she didn't have help as opposed to the single mom who has to work 2 jobs and be a mother. Wake up - you are not like the working class and never will be. I commend you on reaching a status that many of us want to reach - but stop trying to be like the other 99% who suffer day to day. Cause once you walked in their shoes, for campaign reasons, you have the the comfort of taking those shoes of and putting your $500.00 loafers back on.

Bank Locally.... Smaller is better....

It is amazing that with all the bad press that banks have been getting that some still have the nerve to abuse the consumer. And the banks that are bleeding the people dry are the big mega-banks; some of which were the cause of the mortgage debacle.

Wells Fargo an huge national bank and a major mortgage lender (at one time) now wants to charge "a monthly $7 fee" on your checking account; well unless you have a "a minimum balance of $1,500 or direct deposit of at least $500 won’t have to pay. The fee will be lowered to $5 for customers who opt to go paperless.

Great options for those who at this time may have a job and some discretionary money available. But what about the many of families living paycheck to paycheck. The money goes out of the account as quickly as it comes in. Guess a mega-bank like Wells Fargo or BofA or Citibank doesn't want the blue collar (and some white collar) accounts anymore. So be it since it was some of their fault for destroying the middle class.

The way to remedy this callus action is to bank locally. This was something that we all did about 20 years ago. We all had our neighborhood banks or S&L's that we went to because they were true "community bankers" before the term got abused. You could go into the neighborhood bank and actually be recognized by the tellers, manager and bank president.

It is time to forge those relationships again. Local banks, S&L's and now Credit Unions serve a purpose locally. They are our neighbors and friends. They lend back into the community and to small locally businesses. The higher ups are usually visible members of the community; not stealth leaders.

If we don't support the local financial institutions; and of course in return they are to take care of the consumer the right way; then we will loose them. The mega-banks with all their money that should have been used to loan, will only use that money to buy up the smaller banks, making their higher ups all the more richer, and then screw the consumer again.

Let's not be a community of people who only remember when there were local banks. Let's make sure they are thriving institutions who are a benefit to the local community. That's right - let them know that if you the consumer are willing to scratch their back, they (local banks) have to do in return.

Get out there and revolt against the big greedy banker and make the legend of George Baily of "It's a Wonderful Life" live on. We don't need anymore Mr. Potter's.

Mary Franson, Minnesota State Representative, Compares Food Stamp Recipients To Wild Animals

As 1 out of every 6 families goes hungry every night in this the greatest country in the world, here we have another callous conservative mocking the poor. I wonder how many of those working poor may have voted for her because she was someone who they thought cared. It is amazing that she sits there with a silly grin on her face; with pictures of her children facing the camera; and compares those who are hungry to animals in a park. I would like to see if one day a family friend or a relative falls into the classification of working poor, will her thought pattern change. Heck for that matter what makes her so sure she is safe from the poverty line. In this day and age it is way easier to go from riches to rags....

Ann Coulter CPAC Speech: In Support Of Romney, 'Let's Try Square For A While'

Could working class people really believe a guy like Romney; a child of privilege, of ever feeling their pain. I don't care if his father could spit nails, he is not his father. When was the last time he had a bill collector call his house or had to file for unemployment or had to worry if he would make that months mortgage payment. I give him credit for nothing... Just another rich boy wanting to buy his way into the White House. He definitely makes George W. look like the compassionate conservative he wanted to be - and that's not a good thing.

Alan Colmes, Fox News Contributor, Criticizes Rick Santorum For 'Crazy' Behavior, Then Apologizes (VIDEO)

Sometimes strange behavior must be called just that, strange behavior. Being from Pa. I can say the Santorum is king of strange behavior. He lost his Senate seat partly because of his strange behavior and ideals and a good candidate in Bob Casey. Once the national media delves into his weirdness the people will see that he is on the verge of insane at times. This is not to play down the lose of a child; and awful thing to happen to any parent; but again this isn't the only questionable action by Mr. Santorum. The other issue is that the remark was made innocently by wimpy Fox token liberal Alan Colmes; who apologized immediately like a gentleman. I would love to have seen if this was Fat Drugie Limbaugh who made the comment, he would wear his comment like a badge of honor.

How much did you make this year?

http://www.thedailybeast.com/galleries/2011/12/16/america-s-highest-paid-ceos.html

Wow it is amazing that of the top 10, 4 are of the health care industry. Also of the total compensation amount $770 million almost half $370.5 million is earned by these four men. One man John Hammergren, McKesser Corp, Health Care makes a whopping $145.3 million. Unbelievable that in a country where 1 in 2 families goes hungry nightly there is a man making $145.3 million in an industry that has no control in bilking the public. And there are people in this country who claim there is no need for health care reform. Tell that to that one family who is going hungry; hungry because they need to pay for health care and part of the $370.5 million that goes to pay 4 of the top 10 health care executives. This is just the top ten - imagine all the other smaller earners earning a $1million or more...
